What does the COSRX pimple patches do?
Hydrocolloid patches are supposed to both protect troubled areas from getting worse while also trapping humidity within the patches to promote faster healing.
The COSRX website notes that the Acne Pimple Master Patch can quick heal acne overnight or throughout the day. Their uniquely developed hydrocolloid material effectively extracts impurities while healing the troubled spot.
*I haven't tried any other pimple patches that are made of alternative hydrocolloid materials since this is the easiest to access for me, but it works wonderfully so I have no qualms! Although, I can't say just 1 patch works overnight for me, usually when I take it off the next morning the zit not as angry though and might just be ready for a gentle squeeze out (lol)!
How do you use the COSRX pimple patch?
- Cleanse, tone per usual in your nighttime routine*
- Select a bigger sized patch than your zit and stick on the patch
- Apply your toner and moisturizer as usual in all other areas
*I can definitely notice the patches on my face during the day time, on Zoom calls is probably not noticeable. Generally I prefer these during the night so I know at least I'm not going to be having the zit in direct contact to my pillow.
How long do you leave COSRX pimple patches on?
Leave the pimple patch on overnight, or switch it out every 6 hours or so during the day. When you remove it to replace it, you should gently cleanse the area and reapply a new patch with very clean hands!

To sum up this COSRX pimple patch review, this is a great product for occasional pimples that are starting to come to a head (it does a great job of reducing the pimple size and for sucking the gunk out)! For oncoming pimples you can try the COSRX Centella Blemish Cream I reviewed a while back as well. While you can also get large hydrocolloid bandages and cut them up yourself for a bit cheaper, I love the convenience of these patches and the various sizes as well!
