Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser Review

As a preface, I think DE is a brand that's more targeted towards mature skin or sensitive skin (some of their products are also okay to use during pregnancy). If you're fairly young and already have good skin - I think their products would be too pricey/you wouldn't see the value out of them. Today, we'll be reviewing the Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser and I'll review the Protini Cream in a separate post!

Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser (Right) and Protini Polypeptide Cream (Left)

Quick facts:

Formulation: SLS free, fragrance-free, essential oils-free, and silicone-free

Texture: This cleanser has a lightweight gel that foams just very slightly when you agitate (is this the right word for this haha) it with water

Scent: Fresh smelling scent

Where to buy: Sephora, Amazon, Drunk Elephant brand website

Price: $16 USD for 60ml, $34 USD for 150ml (full size)

Main pros: This is a good option for oily, sensitive skin. But if your skin is dry and sensitive, you’re better off with a cream cleanser (can check out my review of the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser here).

Cons: It is pricey for what it is. Cleanser is something that stays on your skin the least amount of time, I don't think you need anything super fancy, but if you like the DE line and have the budget for this, it's a solid choice.

My verdict: 8/10. Only points off are for the price/value point.

Is the Drunk Elephant jelly cleanser worth it?

No I don't really think a $30 dollar cleanser is worth it in my opinion. It does the job and is gentle but I think you could find cheaper alternatives that do the same thing. See my review of the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser here if you have dry sensitive skin and also check out the COSRX cleanser I mention in my favourites list if you're combo/oily/acne prone.

My Final Thoughts: Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser Review Verdict

In short, I liked this cleanser and used up the mini. I think it's a good cleanser overall with good ingredients. But it's just a little too pricey for a cleanser IMO.

Is there products that you love from DE? Please share below! :) I haven't gotten to try much of their products just yet with everything else that's out there but it's on my list!
