Where To Buy Korean Skincare in San Francisco
Kbeauty is getting more and more accessible these days especially now that some brands are also sold at Sephora and even Target (but at a higher markup). Admittedly it's been a while since I've visited SF and some of the older kbeauty stores seemed to have closed down ='(. Please add in your favourite stores below if you know if any!
K-Beauty Stores in San Francisco
Candy Doll — 1737 Post St #385, Japantown The best dedicated K-beauty stop in SF with 4,000+ Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese products. Huge brand selection at reasonable prices. Note: customer service reviews are mixed so your experience may vary. Brands include: COSRX, Beauty of Joseon, Isntree, Anua, Axis-Y, Benton, Haruharu, Mediheal, Pyunkang Yul, Abib, Acwell, Canmake and more.
Kpop Beauty (The Face Shop) — Japan Center Mall, 1737 Post St #300 A solid stop for The Face Shop skincare and makeup, JM Solution masks, and a curated selection of popular K-beauty brands. Bright, fun store experience.
Sephora Powell St — 33 Powell St Good for dipping your toes into K-beauty with brands like Laneige, Amore Pacific, Erborian and Tony Moly — but expect higher prices than dedicated K-beauty stores.
Target — 789 Mission St Convenient for mainstream picks like Laneige, MISSHA, Peripera and Tony Moly on a budget.
Aritaum — Daly City (near SF) Worth the short trip if you're looking for premium Korean brands like Sulwhasoo, IOPE, and Laneige all under one roof. One of 47+ North American locations carrying top K-beauty trends.
Online Stores for Korean Skincare & Makeup
If you're able to find the official brand sellers on Amazon, that might be the best bet in terms of faster shipping, otherwise, here are some online shop options!
YesStyle
YesStyle has probably the biggest selection of both korean and japanese makeup and skincare products (150+ Korean skincare brands alone!). If you can’t find a brand or product from Amazon or other shops they will likely have it (they carry Beauty of Joseon, COSRX, Isntree, Canmake, Etude House and Pony Makeup to name a few)!
Standard shipping is usually pretty long for me personally, at maybe 3 weeks or so but they usually have 10%-15% off deals and flash sales so sometimes prices are cheaper than Amazon.
StyleVana
This has been my go-to online option for when I can’t find something in store or online, or for when I’m simply looking for the best prices. Be warned though because their customer service is practically non-existent so be sure to input all your address and info correctly!
StyleVana provides authentic Korean and Japanese skincare and makeup products worldwide, and based on my experience, they have the same products, if not more than the options above, with the best pricing.
They also have: a Sale section, a Flash Deal section that are continuously rotating additional sales on products. If you’re looking to buy your top products in bulk you can sometimes find set deals on sale as well. (i.e. the SKIN1004 Sunscreen I mentioned in my all time favourites post x4).
