Scent: Light tea tree oil scent
Packaging: White rip off top packaging that holds one 27g/95oz clearing solution mask. The mask itself is an ultra-fine microfibre sheet mask.
Main pros: The sheet mask visibly reduces redness and inflammation, also seems to hydrate and soothe skin. Can be a good preventative skin care step for oily T zones.
Main cons: The cut outs on the mask fits a little too wide on the face and doesn't really get the sides of the nose that well. Doesn't seem to be very effective for active breakouts.
What does the Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Mask do?
The Dr Jart website notes that the Skin Clearing Solution Mask addresses acne-prone skin by soothing redness and inflammation. This skin clearing solution contains Glutathione that evens out skin tone and reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation including dark spots, scars, and discoloration while salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and niacinamide help control the T-zone area for excess sebum for a noticeably clearer complexion.

Is the Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Mask good?
The niacinamide ingredient here is a common one for anti-acne products and I think it's doing most of the heavy lifting here. I don't see any dramatic improvements in existing pimples or imperfections on the skin with this mask but can see a visible reduction in redness. For this reason, it might be an effective preventative mask to do once a week to help those who might have more oily T zones.
How to use the Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Mask
- Cleanse your face, pat to dry
- Remove mask from grid backing, and apply mask
- Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes then remove gently. Do not rinse.
- Pat remaining serum into skin and follow with moisturizer.
*Leaving this mask on for around 30 minutes is the perfect time, any longer it starts to dry out.
Summing up this Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Mask review
My initial impression was that the material for this sheet mask is SO soft. It's not the thinnest mask but it holds a ton of product and it seems to get absorbed into the skin quite easily. Right after using the mask you'll feel that your skin is more hydrated, and it might've relieved some redness in your skin. It leaves my face feeling supple, cool and very moisturized!
While it doesn't quite do anything for active pimples or acne, I still like to use this as a preventative measure when I know some hormonal acne might be creeping in. Highly recommend especially for the summer time since sheet masks are always so cold when you initially put them on!
Let me know if you end up trying it in the comments :)!
