Farmacy Daily Greens Moisturizer Review
After trying out and enjoying the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm, I was really excited to try this guy out. Today I'll be reviewing the Farmacy Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer.
As a quick summary - this was a lightweight moisturizer with an *almost* optimal ingredients list. The application and finish was not something I enjoyed thought as it took a while to sink in and was tacky/sticky.
This did not make my all time favourites list.
Read on for the details and what I recommend instead of this!

Quick facts:
Formulation: cruelty free, paraben free, synthetic fragrances free and formulated without mineral oils
Potential irritants: Citrus extracts (likely in very low concentration)
Texture: Super light-weight gel, a little tacky after application
Price: $42 USD
Where to purchase: Farmacy, Sephora
Scent: Light fruity scent
Packaging: The moisturizer comes in a glass jar. The full size is 50ml.
Main pros: This is a very hydrating moisturizer despite it being oil-free. It's lightweight and you don't need much to spread over your whole face, and it has a pleasant scent. It also leaves skin with a glow.
Main cons: I didn't like the tackiness from the moisturizer, it takes a while to dry down and you'll need to wait a bit before applying makeup. The citrus fruit extracts in here are also a concern. Citrus extracts can cause irritation if you're going to be exposed to UV rays after application. It seems like a few other reviews mention they have broken out from this product.
My better oil-free alternative for a summertime moisturizer is the Tatcha Water Cream (review here).
About the Farmacy Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer
The Farmacy brand notes that this is a silicone-free + oil-free gel moisturizer that delivers lightweight, lasting hydration without leaving skin feeling greasy. This vegan, cruelty-free formula contains hyaluronic acid + a blend of phytonutrients known to help clear pores + reduce shine.
*I really don't know about the reduce shine part: after application it actually gives the skin a bit of a glow.

*There is a lot of other natural extracts in this list that they didn't mention in their key ingredients feature, however, it's still important to note that the first few ingredients (highest concentrations) is still water, glycerin.
According to INCIDecoder, most of the ingredients in this list is low in irritancy and will not clog pores. However, the perfuming agents in here (like Citral, Limonene etc) are icky and in general citrus (orange, lime) fruit extracts/essential oils can be irritating to the skin.

How to use:
- Cleanse and tone skin per usual
- Apply a dime-sized amount to skin AM or PM
- Avoid direct contact with eye and lip areas
Summing up this Farmacy Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer Review
My initial impression was that the texture of this moisturizer was super refreshing and spread easily across the skin. It left a gentle glow and my skin had no adverse reactions.
However, in my opinion, they could've gone without adding the citrus extracts in the formulation - as this could be sensitizing to some and is a bit unnecessary just for the scent. This moisturizer also took a while to dry down and was often sticky/tacky in certain spots.
I think there are better oil-free moisturizers out there, the Tatcha Water Cream (review here) is a beautiful one, but on the pricey side. :) If you have a suggestion, please pop it down below in the comments!
