About the Farmacy Honey Potion Mask
2022 Update: The product is now called Honey Potion Plus and has an upgraded formula with ceramides, upcycled apple + cica. I can't seem to find the old product on the Sephora or Farmacy site so the ingredient list below will be for the new formula.
The warming mask is still meant to intensely hydrate and nourish the skin while also strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier. All while providing an ‘indulgent spa experience’.
New Honey Potion Plus Ingredients
We will be breaking down some of the key points below, but you can also read our in-depth guide on how to read skincare ingredient labels to see if the formulation would be right for you.

Key Ingredients (new formulation):
- Upcycled Apple Extract: Delivers essential moisture, smooths skin and improves skin hydration.
- Niacamide: Boosts skin radiance, evens skin tone and minimize the look of enlarged pores.
- Ceramides + Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5): Rehydrate, prevent moisture loss and replenish skin barrier.
- Buckwheat Honey Blend: Known for its soothing and humectant properties, provides skin-loving moisture and nourishment, plus antioxidants.
According to INCIDecoder, one of the other key ingredients, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, is known to be highly effective for providing the skin with moisture and skin-protecting abilities. It comes from the pulp of the sea buckthorn berry and contains the very rare Omega 7. The formulation also contains the antioxidant Vitamin E which helps to soothe the skin.

How to use:
- Cleanse and pat dry
- Use the included spatula to scoop mask and spread a generous layer onto face
- Avoid direct contact with eye and lip areas.
- Massage for 1–2 minutes while it warms and transforms into a white cream.
- Leave on for 10–15 minutes then rinse off.
*I can only leave this on for a max of 10 minutes because it does start to get too warm!
Summing up this Farmacy Honey Potion Mask Review
My initial impression was that this mask was very pleasant to use, I enjoyed the warming sensation and it was super unique to experience. It was a bit sticky at first but then melted into the skin and once washed off, left my face feeling very hydrated.
I have seen other reviewers mention though that the warming sensation was sometimes too much and in general felt the product to be overpriced just for its hydrating effects. Sadly I'll also be using up this smaller sized pot and be opting for other hydrating masks when this is finished.
Let me know if you've used this one or tried the new formulation below! :)
